Getting the expiry date of the standstill period right is extremely important, as giving the wrong date in an award letter or unsuccessful bidder letter could form part of the basis of a claim for ineffectiveness. Calculating the expiry date is not always straightforward, particularly given that bank holidays and weekends now have a significant impact.
